We love books by Roald Dahl, but not the ones that normally come to mind such as "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" or "James and the Giant Peach." Our family favorites include "The Twits", "Fantastic Mr. Fox," "The Enormous Crocodile", "Danny Champion of the World," and "Matilda." I never tire of reading these ones to my boys. In these books there's always a theme of good triumphing over evil in very funny ways. They are great to read to your children or for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th graders to read on their own, depending on your reading level. The first 3 books are nice short chapter books. The last 2 are longer. Enjoy!
